Only 3 more weeks, really?!

So we are now finally in the homestretch! Today I am 37 weeks! And not to mention very uncomfortable! I am beyond swollen, especially my legs, feet and ankles, and if you had the pleasure of seeing them you would agree. I had a baby shower on Saturday hosted by mom and sister, it was perfect (pictures to come).

When we were in Des Moines for boys state we had a chance to go to Pella and meet our adorable new niece Avery Leigh Kaisand and spend time with sister Aubrey as well!

At state with our sweet Air Jordan shirts - we love our brother :) Western boys won and had an undefeated season!

Next baby to arrive was precious Jaelyn Wynia in Sioux Center :)

Since Josh teaches history every year we get to be the king and queen at the 6th grade medieval banquet. Josh picks out our outfits....

Counting down the days!

Our countdown is finally down to 50 days! 50 days give or take a few! I can hardly believe it! I am so ready for this constantly moving, kicking and punching baby!

Brother Jordan's basketball team made it to state and won their first game already! We are planning on going up to Des Moines this Thursday and Friday to cheer Western Christian on! It will be a nice break from work! It also works out perfectly to meet our new niece in Oskaloosa!

Josh's middle school basketball is done for the year and soon he will be starting girls soccer! Always busy with something.

We are so ready for the nice spring weather, we even got the grill out and running last night for supper! Can't wait until we can spend most of our evenings outside in the backyard!

Last Trimester!

We are so excited to finally be in the last trimester! The more uncomfortable I am becoming the more excited I am to be holding this little one in my arms! We are trying to make the final preparations to the baby room and finishing up on any house projects we would like to accomplish before baby. I have quite a collection of fabrics to make bibs and burp rags - thankfully mom had an old sewing machine collecting dust in the basement for me to use :) and thankfully grandma Folkerts is so willing to teach me how to use it and help out with all my sewing projects!

Life Lately

Josh and I have been quite busy these last few weeks. Our nights are usually filled with : Jordan's basketball games, Josh's 7th/8th grade boys games, youth group, prenatal classes, etc. Then on the occasional weekends we will hit up a Eric Church / George Strait concert with my family! O my goodness what an amazing concert that was!

We/I decided we needed to paint our basement family room area that we rarely use now. Since it is the only place in our house that has carpet besides the loft I figured we would be putting it to good use once we had a mobile baby! And, if we didn't do it now it would never get done! This picture was taken before we were all done painting, in case you notice the not so great trim job.

Here I am looking pretty large at 27 weeks! We are now under 100 days til baby's arrival, what a countdown! Sleep is getting shorter every night - what joy! :P I have been going a little crazy online shopping for baby clothes lately, trying to get an equal amount of girl and boy clothes! Hoping to redo my mom's rocking chair in the near future as well as hang up decor in the nursery. So much to do and time is running out!

Over Halfway!

I am now at 24 weeks - and everything is going great! We had a great Christmas/New Years with family and friends! Our baby nursery is almost complete - we received so many great gifts for Christmas!

3 preggo "sisters"! Jessica due April 30, Ashley due March 22, Jenessa due March 19.

Josh and I out to eat for New Year's eve with sister Lindsey in Sioux Falls.

At 23 weeks we finally had our ultrasound! We sure think baby VG is really cute! Baby was pretty squirmy and full of kicks during the ultrasound but we still got some great pictures!
